Feed Processing Factory. A $20,000,000 facility,
recently shut down and replaced with another processing plant, included feed
processing equipment up to 45 years old.
Donor Corporation donated the plant to the Nonprofit as is, and where
is. AdTech was able to convert the
100 truckloads of used equipment to a good cash value for the receiving
Nonprofit Organization. The Donor
Corporation was able to avoid the $1,000,000 direct cost of dismantling and
disposing of the plant.
Books. 20 truckloads of childrens books. These new books were donated to the Nonprofit with the restriction limiting the books for use in public and school libraries.
Seed wheat.
Eight 40 foot containers
of treated seed wheat. Marketing
restriction included moving the product away from the USA because of the
specific seed treatments and export and import rules involved with hybrid
seeds. AdTech placed the product
with farmers in the Bosnia and Serbia regions after the cessation of war there,
replacing seed wheat lost by farmers during that long war. Salmon from Alaska.
This donation included
four truckloads of whole, frozen Keta and Pink salmon from Alaska. Motivation for donation of these excess
salmon was for certain fishing companies from Japan and Russia to catch salmon
for the milking of salmon eggs for the production of caviar products. Federal and State law prevents fishing
companies from catching fish for eggs only and discarding the resulting whole
fish. AdTech has developed several
new markets for all kinds of whole, frozen and canned fish and converted this
inventory of salmon to good cash funding for the Nonprofit
Organization. Sports
Equipment. One truckload
of sports equipment with 10,500 pieces of football gear was contributed to
another Nonprofit, with no sales or marketing restrictions. The product was a line of product which
the Original Equipment Manufacturer was closing out to change to a new model and
style of equipment. Books. 6 truckloads of 1-3 year old school
textbooks, all in new condition were contributed to a Nonprofit. Restrictions for the end use of this
donated product involved no sale, barter or trade and a marketing restriction of
no placement in 130 countries of the world. AdTech was able to place these books in
African nations where school libraries had been destroyed during periods of
Communist control of those nations. Crayons. Industrial grade marking crayons, 36,500 pieces, used specifically for marking forest and wood products.
Boots. 1000 pair of overstock industrial boots, all in brand new and
perfect condition, were donated to a school scholarship program, providing
assistance to students attending higher education.
Surgery
kits. New medical
equipment was donated with no sales or marketing restrictions. Product included 4 truckloads of
disposable surgery kits from over production at the manufacturer. Product was placed with a medical
mission group responding to various world conflicts meeting the needs of support
for regional medical facilities.
Plastic
bags. 65,000 new plastic
bags, for cryo-packaging for food storage.
This inventory donation included one truckload of large plastic
bags, specifically designed for vacuum packing and freezing of meats, cheeses,
and other dairy products. This
inventory had been abandoned by the owner and was donated by the owner of a
warehouse management company.
